Born November 12, 1939, in Marquette, a son of Arnold and Mabel (Anderson) Johnson, Ardy was raised in Carlshend. An incredible-grandson of Carl Johnson (the “Carl” of Carlshend), Ardy grew up with a robust sense of his Swedish id and developed a love of native historical past. He graduated from Gwinn Excessive College in 1957 and enrolled at Northern Michigan College, pursuing a level in music and a instructing certificates.
