St Clare’s High School, Taree is in celebration mode after three of its college students have been chosen to attend the Nationwide Youth Science Pageant (NYSF) in January 2021.

Greater than 800 college students from throughout the nation had been nominated to participate within the 10-day residential program, however solely 380 had been chosen together with St Clare’s Patrick Guthridge, WenYuan Lim Schneider and Nathan Smith. As a part of the choice course of college students need to undertake 4 assessments.

The NYSF program is designed to supply college students of their HSC 12 months with a broad understanding of the varied research and profession choices out there in science, know-how, engineering and arithmetic (STEM) and to encourage continued research in these fields.  

Rotary Australia is the founding associate of NYSF and native Rotary districts throughout the nation are charged with nominating college students for this system.

Taree Rotary Membership Youth Companies Director, Dr Colin Rose, mentioned that the Rotary Membership was very proud and excited to have three college students from St Clare’s advancing to the Nationwide Youth Science Discussion board from our space. 

St Clare’s Principal, Mr Peter Nicholls mentioned that he was completely delighted for the scholars.
