Clifton A. Brown, Sr., 87, a lifelong resident of Castanea, was surrounded by household when he handed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020 at Jersey Shore Hospital after a quick sickness.

Born in Lock Haven on Jan. 8, 1933, he was a son of the late Elwood and Roberta (Poorman) Brown.

Clifton attended Carson Lengthy Navy Academy, New Bloomfield, the place he was concerned in sports activities and loved pictures.

On April 16, 1952, he married his love, the previous Dotty Jane Morrison, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.

Clifton was employed on the Silk Mill. He then grew to become a drywall finisher, working for Capital Coach after which Haven Properties till his retirement.

He was a member of Laurel Run United Methodist Church.

Clifton was a former member of the Lock Haven Lions and an lively member of the Susquehanna Numismatic Membership (coin membership) who usually attended coin and property auctions.

In his youthful years, he was a small sport hunter and fisherman.

In more moderen years, Clifton loved touring together with his spouse — usually driving lengthy distances. He was recognized for the perfection of his garden and was an avid fan of Western films and exhibits. Clifton usually sat on his porch swing having fun with the birds and squirrels.

Along with his spouse, Dotty Brown, he’s survived by two daughters, Debra (Robert) Reeder of Lock Haven and Winona (Michael) Johnson of Inexperienced Bay, Wis.; a brother, Robert (Rose) Brown of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren: Clifton Brown, III, Philip Brown, Patti Kuntz, Jacque Sommer, Jill Munoz, William Fourney and Amanda Swiecichowski; 14 nice grandchildren with one other on the best way; and several other nieces and nephews.

Alongside together with his mother and father, he was preceded in loss of life by three kids: Clifton Brown, Jr., Randy Brown and Susan Brown and three sisters: Florene Brown, Larue Shaffer and Winona Gruver.

A Celebration of Life might be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Clifton’s title could also be made to both the Juvenile Diabetes Analysis Basis or the American Most cancers Society by way of the funeral dwelling.
