Leaders of Ndigbo in All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos, have condemned the assault on the palace of Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, and the destruction of public, personal buildings and monuments in Lagos State, by hoodlums within the aftermath of the #EndSARS protests.
The Ndigbo leaders, led by Joe Igbokwe, who made the comment on Monday after a gathering, instructed newsmen that “the act is unlucky, condemnable, unwarranted and may by no means occurred once more.”

Whereas dissociating Igbo in Lagos from the assertion made by the chief of the proscribed Indigenous Folks of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, Igbokwe stated the Igbo are builders and never destroyers.
In keeping with him, “The Igbo have been dwelling peacefully in Lagos. The investments we now have right here in Lagos is greater than what we now have within the East.
“My individuals couldn’t have been a part of that large destruction. It’s not in our character.
“No Igbo man can have such braveness to commit sacrilege by destroying the Oba of Lagos’ palace. But when there’s any Igbo man who took half within the assaults, she or he is on his/her personal and may face the dire penalties.
“We aren’t get together to Kanu’s assertion. He can’t and doesn’t converse for Igbo. He doesn’t symbolize Igbo.
