There’s a deep layering in artwork that engages crucial dialog and thought towards the circumstances of society–from social constructs to political dissent.
In “Posters on Politics 2020”, an exhibition curated by artist Donna Jackson of DMJ Studio, native and worldwide visible art-makers present commentary on political occasions, figures, philosophies and ideologies.
The set up expands upon Jackson’s 2016 exhibition, which centered sharply on American politics and got here as a response to the feelings skilled all year long from voting to immigration insurance policies, gun violence and the #MeToo Motion, to incorporate works that debate local weather change, the Black Lives Matter Motion and the U.S. meals provide.
