Mary Ellen Smrtic, age 75, of Johnstown, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 22, 2020, on the Mountain Valley Hospice Home in Gloversville, NY, together with her loving household by her aspect.
She was born on November 12, 1944, in Gloversville, a daughter of the late Earl Savage and Margaret Loucks Savage.
Mary was a graduate of Northville Central College. She was employed by many native companies together with the previous Johnstown Lodge and Vacation Inn as a housekeeper. She additionally labored within the textile business on the former Johnstown Knitting Mill and the Grandoe Company. Mary was final employed as a bus aide for the Larger Johnstown College District, which she liked most of all.
Mary and the love of her life, Louis J. Smrtic have been married on December 19, 1970. They raised two kids collectively, Phillip and Karen, and resided as a household in Johnstown, NY, the place Mary continued her life after the unlucky passing of Louis on March 24, 1980.
Mary liked all kids as her personal, welcoming many into her house with open arms through the years as a caring foster dad or mum and babysitter.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Louis J. Smrtic; her three brothers, Jimmy Savage, Earl “Skip” Savage, Eddie Savage; and one sister, Pam Martin, all of whom we all know she has been gloriously reunited with forever.
She is survived by her son, Phillip W. Smrtic; and her daughter, Karen Bellinger (John). She shall be ceaselessly missed by her grandchildren, Jacklynn Lentini (Eric), Bodie Bellinger, Broc Bellinger; her great-granddaughter, Gracie Lentini; and several other nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation for household and buddies shall be previous to the service on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. on the A.G. Cole Funeral Residence Inc., 215 E. Fundamental Road, Johnstown, NY.
A memorial service shall be carried out straight after at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, on the A.G. Cole Funeral Residence Inc., with Dr. Reverend R.W. Williams officiating.
