Alhaji Aminu Sani-Jaji, a chief of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara, says those that oppose Governor Bello Matawal’s plan to hitch the APC should not good Democrats.
Sani-Jaji, who introduced his place at a press convention in Gusau on Monday, added that Matawalle has the constitutional proper to hitch a political celebration.
“To me, it’s a clear violation of his constitutional proper to ask Matawalle to not contact APC, as offered for in Part 40 of the 1999 Nigerian Structure, as amended.”
Sani-Jaji, who represented the federal constituency of Kaura-Namoda / Birnin-Magaji, responded to Senator Kabiru Marafa’s assertion that the Zamfara chapter would stop Matawalle from becoming a member of the celebration.
“If the Structure permits freedom of political affiliation, who would cease Matawalle or anybody else from going to APC? I feel those that breed this mind-set should not good Democrats. “
He said that Marafa could have spoken as a person as there was no stakeholder assembly the place such a call was made.
“I want to distance myself from any plan by some members of our celebration to file a lawsuit in opposition to Bello Matawalle over his proposed handover from the PDP to the APC.
“I’m not concerned in any litigation in opposition to the governor, even when he chooses to contact the APC.
“Everybody needs to be given equal alternatives to take part politically and to hitch any political motion that they need,” stated Sani-Jaji.
Fearing that the governor would possibly hijack the celebration construction, Sani-Jaji stated it was not potential as a result of the best way the APC conducts celebration primaries has made it troublesome for an individual to govern the celebration construction.
