Police confirm attack on station in Ebonyi community

The Police Command in Ebonyi has confirmed Thursday’s assault on Uburu Police Station in Ohaozara Native Authorities Space of the state by suspected hoodlums.

The Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi, Mr Philip Maku, stated suspected hoodlums attacked some law enforcement officials on obligation, after which they razed the station down.

In line with him, among the law enforcement officials sustained a number of levels of accidents whereas attempting to handle the scenario.

The Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) experiences that the burnt police station is situated behind the home of the Minister of Science and Know-how, Ogbonaya Onu, in Uburu Group.

The CP, nonetheless, condemned the assault and urged officers and males of the command to stay calm and proceed to handle the scenario professionally.

NAN remembers that some suspected hoodlums, underneath the guise of EndSARS protest, had on Wednesday set two police divisions ablaze in Abakaliki, leaving two policemen wounded and releasing eight suspects within the police cell.
