YORK — North East’s Isaiah Swan drained a 30-foot birdie putt on the primary playoff gap to edge Scranton Prep’s Matthew Tressler for the PIAA Class 2A boys golf title at Heritage Hills Golf Resort on Monday.

Each golfers shot rounds of 2-under par 69 by means of their first 18 holes.

Tyrone senior Jake Taylor shot an 8-over par 79 to completed tied for fifteenth within the discipline of 48 golfers.

Taylor stated after qualifying for the PIAA championships on the District 6 championship at Scotch Valley that his purpose was to interrupt 80 at states.

“I hit my irons in all probability the perfect I’ve ever hit them at the moment,” Taylor stated. “I used to be completely satisfied to submit a good rating to complete my highschool golf profession.”

West Shamokin’s Eric Spencer completed tied for eighth with a 5-over par 76, and his teammate Jack McCullough completed tied for forty second.

Bedford’s Matthew Edwards completed in a tie for twenty third after carding an 81.

Huntingdon’s Brady Helpful ended up tied for twenty sixth with an 82, and his Bearcats teammate Ryan Marshall shot a 96.

Rockwood’s Vileska Gelpi received her first PIAA Class 2A ladies golf championship after ending as runner-up twice by carding a 2-over par 74. The senior’s rating was two pictures higher than Warrior Run’s Hannah Rabb.

Two-time District 6 champion Cassidy Miksich completed 18th within the 24-player discipline and shot a 90. Central Cambria senior and Laurel Highlands Athletic Convention champion Megan Stevens completed twenty first with a 97.

Westmont Hilltop’s Alyssa Kush shot a 98, and Clearfield’s Christina McGinnis carded a 100.
